Asking Reddit: I’m going to detox/rehab tomorrow. What should I be prepared for?
Post Body

Back story: 25/M. I have never been to a detox center or rehab facility. I am currently drinking alcohol and smoking marijuana virtually every day and cocaine on “special occasions”. I pretty much use everyday to cope or feel like I’m tolerating my stress. I have hit rock bottom and I have to bring myself up again.

Now, I’m just really nervous about the experience. I haven’t gone sober for about 3-4 days in about 5 years. Recently, it has gotten worse. I can’t go 2-3 days without using. I’m not sure how my body will handle this nor how I can overcome this mentally.

I never had the courage to reach out about this until now that I have pre-screened for this inpatient detox thing. Essentially, I just want for someone to give me some advice before I do this. I still have time to think and reflect before leaving for a while, I just want to at least go there certain on what I am doing.
