Would I need to upload a cover letter and references to a seasonal job I've had before where everyone knows me?

Post Body

I had a seasonal job last year working in a theater. One of the managers had me in his "list of people" to call for a show. The job ended last December.

This manager got in contact with me recently about working a gig but I was unavailable. Now, I see he posted an ad for someone to work a show. I'm available. I think I burned bridges with him for some reason, but if I didn't, would I need to upload a cover letter and references? He knows me. You know?
