I live in this little complex of cottages, and I have an awesome outside/inside cat named Boones. Boones acts like a dog, comes when called, all the good stuff.
Well, we had a new neighbor move in across from us, an old lady. This woman immediately began shitting on all of the neighbors(complaining about noise at 7 pm, complaining about people grilling after 7, etc. Wanted the world to stop when she went to bed, pretty much). My cat disappeared the same day she moved in. He's really friendly, and may have simply walked into her house when beckoned(he does this with all of the other neighbors).
Thing is, she won't answer her door or speak to us at all besides when she bitches about things at night time. I can't even get her to answer me about if she's seen a missing cat. I really think she stole my pet, and we've been through a lot together(Nursed him by hand through a case of distemper when he was 8 years old, he also survived a house fire that saw me and my family penniless and homeless). I need to find out somehow if this woman has my cat.
What can I do? I feel like I would be laughed at for calling the police, but this is building to a point of rage with me.
