Hello! I’m back again. So I’m 19 and I requested my first credit card back in January 2024. Never got a call or text or email telling me it was there. I finally went to the bank and asked them for my card and got told that it was sent back and instead of ordering it back they told me it was a me problem. I decided I was gonna change bank later once I got some other personally finances figured out.

So fast forward to September, I haven’t thought about the card since I had to order a new one and choose not to. I start getting calls from my bank saying I owe over $1,000 on my credit card. But I never got it. So I explained my situation to them and they transferred me to fraud, but they hung up on me??? So I keep getting calls three times a day every weekday from the bank asking for a payment and they keep insisting I make a payment. Older people in my life told me not to since it’s gonna fall back on me but I’m super worried about my credit score.

So I went into the local bank and reported my problem and finally got a case opened. This is all still in September btw. So I’ve waited a long time for a call and finally got one and they asked me some questions and said they were gonna give me a new credit card. So I get a text about a new credit card and I pick it up. It’s the same card that has fraud on it.

So I walk back in and demand an answer and they just give me numbers to call. So I closed my account and opened on with a better bank but I’m still getting calls and no one is giving me answers about my case. I feel lost. Ive never had a credit card or had to deal with stuff like this. Could someone tell me what my next steps would be?
