Struggling with my friend of 7 years – she’s becoming unbearable
Post Body

Hey Reddit, I need some advice on a situation that’s been bothering me for a while now. I’ve been friends with this girl for 7 years, but lately, I’m starting to feel really frustrated with her.

For starters, she’s always talking about boys—literally all the time. Even though she has a boyfriend, she still finds other guys attractive and flirts with them whenever she gets the chance. I’ve told her multiple times to stop and be more respectful to her relationship, but she just brushes me off or makes excuses.

On top of that, she’s turned into this clout chaser. She’s constantly trying to use me for attention, whether it’s for social media posts or just to gain more followers. It’s starting to feel like she only hangs out with me to boost her own image.

Aside from that, she’s becoming really hard to deal with. Everything has to go her way or she gets upset, and she’s always making a big deal out of things that aren’t even important. It’s like walking on eggshells because she’ll get sulky over the smallest things.

I don’t want to throw away a friendship of 7 years, but at the same time, I’m tired of dealing with her behavior. Has anyone else gone through this with a friend? Any advice on how to handle it? Should I distance myself, or is there a better way to address the situation?

Thanks in advance.
