I got laid off a few months ago and my GF wants me to attend school but I am struggling to afford everything. What options do I have for extra income without affecting unemployment?
Post Body

I was laid off a few months ago and I'm on unemployment. My GF is telling me that I should take this opportunity to focus on my education but I am struggling so much to pay for rent and bills. I have looked into jobs around me but after taxes I end up making about the same as I do with unemployment. With less time to dedicate to schoolwork too. I mentally just can't handle a full time job and full time school. I have tried looking for cash jobs around me but it's not consistent enough to help me monthly.

The problem comes mostly from the fact that if I do a part time job unemployment will stop paying me and at that point I'm in the exact same position. I'll make the same amount of money with less free time to study. Are there any possible suggestions any of you have that could help me? I'm just so stressed and have been looking for side work every day with no avail. I have not received financial aid since I need to talk to a counselor first but even when I do it will help but not for long.

Are there any resources for people in my situation?

If needed I am in California
