It was raining and traffic was (temporarily) stopped on the interstate, including me. Other car rear-ended my car.

I'm fine. Other driver is fine. Minor damage to his car. Pretty noticeable damage to the back of my car.

Because it would take hours to get there (we already waited about an hour), we didn't wait for police to get there. What should I do?

I already took lots of pictures of the scene, including ones showing the location. I have other driver's insurance information and license plate. I already called to file a claim with other driver's insurance. I'm currently drafting a self report for police.

Anything else? The car is driveable, but i'm not going to until I talk to more people (closed until Tuesday). And yeah. Sort of freaking out here. 😭
