Cut a long story short I lost one of my w-2s and wasn’t able to find it I did just about everything to find it or get a new one sent but I couldn’t so I just filed the 2 out of 3 I needed and I got a return of 500 something dollars I got the check a couple months ago and I’ve been scared to cash the check because i don’t want them to be like give us the 500 back or if they are gonna fine me a lot or get in any trouble but I could use that money now I’m not completely desperate for it but I’m only 20 and I don’t want to owe the IRS a bunch of money over this so is it worth it?.
