Hello Friends. I, (26F) from Canada, wanting to get a US phone plan as Canadian phone plans are, crappy, expensive, and doesn’t give much freedom. I did some research and it stated that I am able to get a phone plan but is a hassle to renew it after the contract is over. I just had a few questions below.

-If I acquire a US phone number but live in Canada, would people who txt me locally get charged each time?

-would I be able to retain my current phone number?

-how much of a hassle is it really to renew phone plans ? If I don’t have to change anything and want to keep my phone without upgrading could I just let it be until my phone dies and require a new one ?

• would I need a US address to get this done ?
