Dead might be a good word to describe what I’m going through.
For starters, I am a 20 year old who graduated high school in 2021. It’s been 2 years and I’ve been procrastinating about college, because I never had an interest in school. From middle school through high school I never really tried and just got by with C’s. I live with a single mother, who has been pushing me to pursue education, and I have an attractive Italian girlfriend who pursues college to be a PA.
Hi however just been working for two years and have been saving nothing. The money I earned goes towards a 2019 Mustang eco-boost that I’ve been financing and whatever else I want to do whether that be dinners with my girlfriend or traveling, etc..
I have worked a decent job, making 4000 almost 5000 a month but now, however, I have been laid off and without a degree or money in the bank. I have nothing. I’ve been job searching only to find no high paying jobs. Now I’m behind on my car payment and risk getting it repossessed damaging my credit to poor.
I’ve given college thought, and even though I’ve been procrastinating, I had a chance and talked with a MRI tech and got the idea to go to a community college to get a degree to be an MRI technician. However, I don’t know the best route to go about this.
Thank you for reading all this, here is what I’m asking. I like to earn money, I want a degree, I have an expensive car, and I have a beautiful girlfriend. I want my future to go well, but I don’t know how to comfortably go about getting a degree as well as if I should keep the car , or have a repossessed and damage my credit and just do school full-time and probably do a couple hours working.
What is your advice? All I want is a prosperous future for me and my girlfriend and potential family.
