Am I being selfish here?
Post Body

So, my gf and I are living in an apartment ($1600 rent..) we moved here because we had a son at the beginning of the year. We both were making great money, but I lost my job and we have been struggling with keeping up with this rent. Ive been applying everywhere but cant secure a job. Ive been doordashing since June to help with our bills. Our lease is up in March and we were told we will not be able to renew our lease since we have been late x amount of times on rent. Now, we don't have money for a deposit, first or last month's rent... we are trying to figure out a plan.

I came across a trailer for sale. 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a built in hot tub in one of the bathrooms and a fireplace in the living room. It's actually nice. They only want $22k for it! I really want to get it. IF we could get a loan, our rent should only be about 800-1000 Max. We could financially make it then.

The problem is my gf had a very abusive ex who sent her to the ER. They lived in a trailer as well. I know it's traumatic for her, and I told her I really think it would be good for us financially. And possibly get us out of the hole we are in. She said she was having terrible anxiety thinking about it. I understand where she is coming from. I told her I don't want her upset, or uncomfortable. But we could potentially end up homeless if we can't figure something out. The way i look at it, is if thay happened in a house, would she be afraid of living in a house? Am I being selfish thinking this way? I told her we could decorate the house and make it how she would want it. If it would make her feel any more comfortable with the idea.
