I have been in school for psych for a year, and it’s not for me. My career had been a confusing mess and I still have no idea what I want to do but after working in psych for 2 years it’s not for me. I want to help people I know that. In the psych field that seems futile because of the systems in place. I need help picking a new major. I’m in the army reserves to help me pay for school and I have only 3 years left and I’m 21. I feel like I’m just wasting time and I don’t wanna be 30 by the time I have a job that’s worth while. I want a family and I want to marry my gf of 4 years. Should I pick a major in physical therapy or mortician science ? I know they are two different things but after an adjustment period embalming I’d very easy and won’t ever really change, and only requires an associates. I also would feel good ab making peoples loved ones look presentable for their ones to say their goodbyes. But physical therapists eliminate pain and restore functionality to people’s bodies. Both pay well and both have pros and cons, I’m genuinely curious for any input or advice. I just want to have a career I can be proud of that makes providing possible.
