Post Body

For reference, tall white male 24 here, recently started a really good job and am on my way to learning a trade, finally got a place that allows my dog inside, handling my finances well, I was lucky enough to meet a woman that helps me grow and loves me and I'm starting to climb out of a very dark hole that I've inhabited for a long time. Today a woman I hooked up with 2-3 times roughly three years ago and then just started talking again recently, we flirt a little and then she tells me she's still got a gf (when I was younger I didn't care), so I'm like nah I'm good thanks tho, today messages me saying she has a kid and it's ours, he's 2, she sents me photos and I can't tell if he looks like me(but I'm worried he might), he is light skinned (she's latina) and she says he's tall for his age. She doesn't want anything from me just wanted to give me the option to be in his life if I wanted...she is much older than me, already has 3 kids and is in a relationship with the woman who is mother of the other 2, when I asked her why she's telling me now she says it's so she can tell him she tried when he's older and asks about his dad...what do I do? Do I even get a paternity test? My father was awful and from the few interactions I've had with kids I'm nowhere near good enough. It sounds like she doesn't want me in his life just an out for her guilt. Am I damning this kid no matter what I choose?
