Got my 1.5k follower account bannedā¦Iām utterly defeated
I had spent 2-3 years building up my Twitter/X account to what it was. I have a large network of friends on there. I had a ton of large prominent accounts following me and interacting with me.
I was able to make a new account with a new email and get about 130 of those followers back. None of them are the blue checks or the big creators I was DMing.
The nail in the coffin was me replying to a video of a guy killing 3 pitbulls by slamming them in the skulls with a wood plank. I said, not to another user, but to the guy in said video: āthat guy deserves to get shotā and I guess the sociopathic dog haters reported me.
All the videos I made, all my DMs, and everything is just gone now. I canāt tell whatās worse, the fact that everything Iāve made and posted to Twitter in the last 2 years is gone, or that I will have to work extra hard to build up another base from (near) scratch
I know this seems a little over the top but I am very much devastated. I deleted the app, and every part of me just wants to give this up for good and stop focusing on making content for the internet for good.
Any good similar stories or advice for me? Iām not sure if itās permanent or not, but it looks like it because I sent 5 appeals that got rejected.
This is kind of nuts how you can get everything taken away from you without any warning whatsoever. What happened to them letting you delete the tweet to let you back on?
How else do you deal with losing something youāve already invested so much time in?
