I’ll refer to my friend as G, their ex best friend as B, and ex boyfriend as M. 2 months ago G got kicked out of their living situation. They were living with their B who had just got together with M. Regardless, G had an emotional support dog that M and B have refused to return. G has plenty of documentation that the dog is theirs, but they cannot afford a lawyer to go to civil court. B is currently in possession of the dog, and she has very rich parents who are aware of the situation and will be more than willing to pay for lawyers. G tried filing a police report, but they wouldn’t handle it because it’s a civil issue and they don’t have a search warrant. Any advice would be appreciated.
