Short backstory, we went to high school together. He's been my ride or die. I got hurt and fell into addiction and he stayed by my side any way he could. He Knew the real me. His mom was the tennis team mom. She was so supportive of all of us. My friend was losing his marriage in our early 20’s, (son was 1 at the time) his grandmother was diagnosed with a brain tumor again, and then his mom. His mother passed, grandmother managed to beat it, marriage failed, life crumbled, and he had a schizophrenic break.

After a little more than 10 years, he made it back to the top. Struggled through the med changes, psychiatric care, the dirty looks and bad talk that comes with the stigma of all that.

He just got his LLC last week to start his own quilting company. He was so excited for this. We were going to start a (anime) costume company. He’s a very eccentric guy. Wild imagination, says some of the goofiest stuff, but loves life. Just beats to a different drum! I feel like all this is why his sister doesn’t want to publicize him being missing. I don’t understand what else would stop them from wanting to publicly ask for help.

We were supposed to talk Wednesday after work. He never called and I regret not calling him. He had said he was struggling and he had something going on that night and that we would talk Wednesday.

He was last physically seen Sunday July 9th, last heard from Wednesday July 12th. He was also supposed to pick his son up Wednesday. That’s not like Gavin at all. His son is the one thing in this world he has always had a constant with. He wouldn’t abandon him.

He doesn’t drink, nor use drugs, so a bender is out of the question.

I think because of my friends “mental history” either his family is ashamed to put it out there on social media, or.. idk. That’s all I can imagine.

I just want to know he’s safe. I don’t have a good feeling about this, and I don’t think enough has been done. He was reported missing July 15th, but that’s it. Just a police report.

Can somebody help me take the correct actions. I’m really worried
