Let me start this post off with the honest to God truth: My grandmother is an abusive, racist, mentally & physically ill piece of shit. I'm tired of dealing with her & I want her in a home. She is not mentally or physically fit to be living in this house, period. She has bipolar disorder, she's addicted to Xanax, and she screams at people & starts stupid ass fights every single time she goes manic. The only time there is peace in this house is when she's depressed & holed up in her room. She beat the shit out of my mom when she was a kid & made her life & my childhood a living hell with her abuse. And she still perpetuates that same abuse into her old age. In terms of physical ailments, she doesn't take any of the medications she's supposed to. She doesn't listen to doctor's advice on how to resolve her health issues & would rather listen to YouTube doctors. She has fallen over multiple times over the past year alone. Her mental & physical health is simply in the shitter. We take care of her day in, day out. Make food, clean the house spotless, and when she's manic she comes out bitching about how we never do enough. I'm tired of it. We are all tired of it. She has threatened to make us homeless time & time again, and frankly she is the least deserving of this house out of anybody. She should've been hospitalized & put in a home a long time ago. With all of this being said, my point is: How do you put someone like this in a home? What are the first steps? My family is desperate to make this stop.

Edit: I'd also like to confirm that yes she is physically violent. She's literally tried to hit my brother, and my sister nearly started to beat the shit out of her if it weren't for my mom holding her back. At this point, we could get accused of "elder abuse" in trying to defend ourselves from this hag. She has also made comments about poisoning animals & she consistently tries to fuck with our cat. We're currently planning on recording her during a fight & showing it to her doctors to prove how insane she is. Also, we live in California if that helps anybody give advice at all.
