So my dad bought me a car in a super market parking lot off someone and the vpn was covered and took months to uncover it. The dude he bought it off of lied and said it was in good conditions when it was at 125k miles and engine litwrally falling apart. Since buying it in january of 2020 at a cost of 5k the car has costed over $20k in repairs due to the terrible state it is in. Currently the suspensions just snapped after use at 141k miles. Should I tell my dad to get me a car at carmax or just continue repairing it. Also should I be responsible for paying for repairs that need to be done because of its age? I pay for stuff like new tires and oil change but for repairs cuz of age should I he responsible even though I had no say in getting the car?
