Moving out of parents house
Post Body

So pretty much my friend bought a house and my other buddy and I will be renting a room from him. I’ll be moving out of my parents house for the first time at 22yo. I’m a bit nervous as I stayed home after graduating high school and lived at home since. I plan on staying there, save about $600 a month for the next year or so then get my own apartment. My parents aren’t kicking me out or anything, our relationship is great. I’m just choosing to leave as I feel like I need a change of scenery since I’ve been in the same place for the last 22 years and don’t know what it’s like to be on my own and feel like it’s the right opportunity to do it. Can anyone give me some encouraging advice and someone who’s been in my shoes?
