So I was heading back to work from lunch. I pulled up to a 4 way stop sign and a semi was turning my way.So i backed up to be nice. BUT like an idiot I did not check my rear view mirror and I take full responsibly for the result.Welp there was a Toyota truck behind me. Guy was nice i admitted fault and we pulled over out of the way.
He took a pic of my license and took down my phone number.Like an idiot I was flustered and wasn't thinking enough to ask for his info and could only apologize profusely.
He said he wasn't gonna turn it into insurance and i don't plan to either (both minor damage)My trunk lid and dash cam are a bit damage but not that noticeable. The truck may have a snapped plastic clip.
Guy seemed nice and everything and I even offered him my dash cam footage which he declined. He even asked about me doing IT work for him on the side (odd way to get a job)
But because I didn't get his info I am concerned. Is there anything I need to do?
Update:
Haven't got any sort of phone call from the guy and my dad has not seen anything on the insurance about it.
Still not ruling out anything later down the line but it doesn't SEEM like anything is gonna come of it.
