Lost my job without even knowing
Post Body

Hey all. I need advice. I’m a first year in college (19 M). I moved up to college in September, and recently quit my job back home so I could stay up here full time. I did this job for 2 weeks, the managers seem really pleased with me, and then I just stop receiving any contact whatsoever. No replies to my calls or texts, nothing. I promise, I did my job and I was doing it well, especially for a beginner. Now I don’t have any other available places to get work, and I don’t know what to do. My grandparents always offered to help me financially in college if I got stuck, and I only need help for another month or so, until the college year is finished. But my mother said she doesn’t want me asking them for money, because it’s not right. I feel like if it’s been offered, especially by my grandparents to me, I should be allowed to ask for help if I truly need it. The other option I have is to go back to being a salesman of certain plants, which honestly, I don’t want to return to. I want a legitimate way. Does anyone have any advice for me? I know it’s a very personal and particular issue, but I hope someone might be able to open my eyes to something new. I live in Ireland btw, if that’s relevant. I don’t know if there’s many free money opportunities over here.
