I 19F, have been talking to my boyfriend about moving in with him. My parents have always been overprotective in my opinion. They track my location, I have to ask for permission to get things like piercings or tattoos (they always forbid me from getting any). They recently found out I was using a location changer on my phone to see my boyfriend (who they don't approve of), so now every time I want to hang out with a friend they will ask a list of questions or just refuse to let me. I try to see my boyfriend as much as possible but since my parents don't approve I have to sneak out to see him which is usually only once a week. I have no other friends who I can live with who aren't hours away, and I don't want to live with a stranger so my boyfriend said I could live with him. I want to move in with him because I just really want my independence. But I feel so guilty, I feel like I would be a shitty daughter if I left. I love my parents, but I'm tired of not being able to make my own decisions. I fully expect them to take away my car, and the other things they provide for me in response to me moving. I'm prepared for that. So my question is, how do I even tell them? Am I a shitty daughter for this?
