In my last relationship I was immature and didnât put alot of effort into dates once the âhoneymoon phaseâ was over. Iâve had time to reflect/grow over the years and one of the ways I thought to help with this was to make a jar of date ideas. Itâs a bunch of wide-popsicle sticks that have a color painted tip (each with its own unique complimenting pattern because Iâm extra AF lol) to indicate the category of the date ranging from simple or stay at home up to big things like trips (I tried to keep it vague so itâs flexible). I artificially aged the paper, used calligraphy & ink, tied the little papers around the sticks using twine, and put them all in a large glass jar with a label called âThe Date Jarâ and a key indicating the categories. I add to it each time I feel like I have a great idea.
I obviously havenât met this person yet, but I did it as a way to get excited for whatâs to come and assure myself I learned from the past (or aspiring to anyway). If you met someone who had something like this, would it be romantic or would it be kinda weird since he made it before he knew you? Trying to figure out if I should scrap the idea or keep it.
