Wrong Birth Certificate Form?

( Yes im making mutiple post, lol. im currently struggling with a lot. )
I finally ordered my birth cert. and there was two kinds you could get and after 30 days, I finally got my BC in the mail and it just says vital record on it and it is vertical instead of horizontal so that has me wondering if I fucked up and ordered the wrong one?
Its literally the only document I have of myself. Im rebuilding my life, I have no SS card, ID card.
Does it matter? whats the actually difference?
