Why do people who drink push so hard for people who don't, to drink too?
Post Body

I don't drink alcohol at all. I don't have anything against people who do, I don't comment on what they're doing, I just don't care.

Yet it happens so frequently that they either push for "just take a sip", "just try it" etc. and it's rather exhausting to be honest. My reasons of not liking the taste are frequently ignored. When I say jokingly "it's healthier anyway" they say "but you eat choclate too".

But I don't understand why they get so weird about it. Like, why does it matter to anyone if I drink or not? It's not like I'm criticizing their choices.

Comments

Some people just can't handle the idea of others having fun without a drink in hand.
