How do you work with a mental disability? I felt like I got laid off needing accommodations so I’m currently getting EDD that ends in a few weeks. Long story short, after having to give my employer my accommodations, I started getting treated like shit. They laid me off stating they “lost” a contract. Sad thing was after my first evaluation, my raise went from $20 to $25 an hour since they stated I deserved it and they stated my job is SECURED. I’m always afraid to state about my issue with any employer before or during any interview/application. I haven’t had any luck with new work since January, and I’m starting to think many employers don’t want me due to what I need accommodated
I was thinking of just continuing my self employment work which is running my YouTube channel and pet services which makes me happy, but that doesn’t cover all the expenses needed especially living in Los Angeles.
