Where can I find people to do things with?
Post Body

I have a little spark of motivation that re-emerges every now and then to try new things and implement fun activities into my life, for the sake of my mental wellbeing. It never really happens though, because of lack of time, lack of money, general tiredness AND not feeling doing those things alone.

For a long time, I've wanted to learn to kayak to be able to go on peaceful escapes. I think I'd enjoy rock-climbing. I know I'd love hiking, but it is dangerous and somewhat boring to do this by yourself. (I've done things alone for the majority of my life so this is tried and tested...)

Do I have friends? Mmm that's unclear. My friends are married, unavailable mothers now. Even so, I've not got anyone that likes the same sorts of things that I do. Lots of acquaintances but that's it. Yeah, I've tried things like BumbleBFF.

I run a charity and work full time. My Saturdays get eaten up which restricts my ability to join clubs and whatnot. As part of my charity, I manage a few volunteers... one option is to ask if anyone wants go do x with me.

Genuinely wish there were a way to fast-track this making new friends thing! I just wanna be matched with a cool person for a day out.
