I had a birthday party for my youngest. She turned 6 🎉🎉 We invited a bunch of friends and family and I honestly thought it was a good turnout, even though most were adults. My daughter though was really hurt. No one from her class showed up. Multiple people RSVP'd, and none showed. Out of 22 kids, none. Multiple times throughout the day she asked when her friends were coming. Even when it was already dark outside. She was hurt. My heart hurts for her. She cried, she's finally asleep after we stayed up playing Mario Kart together. I don't know how to make her feel better. I don't know the right words. I'm honestly really upset at the parents, we always show, even if it's with a small gift. I don't want her to go to school on Monday and be upset with the kids in her class.

Update: she's okay. We talked in the morning just to remind her of how much fun yesterday was, how many people DID show up to celebrate her, and how loved she is. I also reminded her that things happen, and parents are pretty busy and may have forgotten, so it's not any of the kids faults. We made goody bags for her class for tomorrow. The moon bounce actually stayed the night so we stayed most of the day in it, ate leftover cake in it, and just had a good family day. We did invite that whole class (to be sure no one felt excluded), most of the parents we know because it's mainly the same group of kids in class every year. I sent out invites and reminders. Never got any cancellations after the RSVPs. After all this I just wanna say thank y'all. For the compassion, kind words, and all the advice. I'm sorry for those that had to go through the same, but it makes me feel a lot better know we're not alone 💕
