Slowly moving forward, but faster than I expected. Learned a new technique to get the browns not to blend between staff and tree. The hair needs some color additions, but I'm happy with the progress so far.
The paper in the book Mythomorphia is honestly the whole reason this is looking as good as it is. It really has a nice bite and holds the wax. Blending just works so much better with this paper, and the final result just looks so smooth.
