Hi all new to the group. Hadn't colored since I was a kid. Got into it about a month ago and I'm in love.
I'm ok, neither good nor bad. Talked to a few highly talented artist friends of mine.... I've been using prisma bc I always heard they were the best. Definitely love the wax pencils and the heavy pigment. I was just starting to notice the price isn't sustainable. Then the friend told me to use it for embellishments only. He suggested water colors for color blocking. I want to try heal pens and probably pastels.
With all that in mind what I want to try, what I'm used to and know I like so far and keeping the price point lie without buying just trash I need a recommendation.
What's a good middle of the road quality(rather go up than down) starter kit for mixed mediums?
I'm thinking at least 12 colors. Mainly just the pencils, pens etc. I have a couple blending sticks, a sharpener and books. Just want to try a few mediums to see what I like before I start spending to much. Get away from the prisma price.
