Hey folks, sorry if someone already posted a review of the pumpables liquid shield kit. Here is my 2 cents:
https://pumpables.co/products/liquidkit
I order these last week direct from the website and they came within a few days. They are sold individually so you need to buy 2. I was intrigued by the mechanism by which they extract milk… both suction AND massage. There are videos that show how it works exactly if you put it on YouTube.
I like them so far. They seem to get more milk out quicker and I am using a lower suction setting on them. I also like the smaller bottle (I only produce 1-2 oz per session total). And I like the bottle stands it comes with for easy placement in the fridge.
I think it provides the most natural suckling motion I’ve encountered, with a soft silicone flange that squeezes at the end of every pulse. It’s not unpleasant but is a stronger sensation requiring a lower suction setting. It’s also got a soft silicone insert that feels better on the breast than the hard plastic that comes with the spectra s1. They fit easily to my spectra pump and come with their own replacement tubing.
I wonder to what degree the extra nipple stimulation is beneficial for induction, especially for those unable to have regular suckling sessions.
If you’re looking for a more discreet set of cups, I can’t recommend freemie slim5 cups enough! They are so slim that it’s hardly noticeable under a baggy tshirt. I go for pumping walks with them in, outdoors, in public, all the time. Public none the wiser. I LOVE these things. They’ve given me so much freedom to pump wherever I want.
