I would like to compliment the users of the ABF forum by recognizing some specific behaviors and actions which make ABF a far friendlier and more useful community. Here are some things I noticed today.
I saw a post where solid advice was given to someone needing encouragement, specifically describing how domperidone works better taken as 4 doses per day vs 3. Another poster described how domperidone is an aid but the real heavy lifting when inducing is from consistent suckling/pumping/massage. When I joined ABF five years ago, standard recommendation for dom was 3X per day and guidance on starting domperidone was all over the map. Advice about the value of massage was incredibly poor back then.
It is now common to see posts stating that inducing is a "marathon", not a "sprint". Five years ago when I first came to the forum, this advice was rare.
Today, people who have successfully induced are numerous. Several are prolific in posting advice and support for those starting the journey. When I first joined ABF, there were some success stories but also many failures. Generally good advice was available, but not anywhere close to where it is now.
Misinformation is now relatively rare on ABF and when it shows up is rapidly countered. I've only seen this a few times over the last year but it was far more common 5 years ago. More important, the level of proven correct and reliable information here on ABF is light years ahead of where it was back then.
Perhaps most encouraging is that more people recognize how much ANR can affect already healthy relationships. It can turn a mediocre relationship into a moonlight sonata.
Thank you to all who welcomed and educated me over the last 5 years. Thank you to those who post encouragement and solid advice now and going forward. Special mention for Roaring Mouse aka SqueakyLion who keeps the trolls and orcs at bay.
p.s. I am benefiting from my time on ABF because I know the uses of domperidone. I have a relative who has constant nausea and vomiting who is about to find out if it can help with her problems. No, I'm not leaving, just felt like saying I like what I see here on ABF
