Wife and I have started trying to get into a regular breastfeeding situation. She just gave birth last week and since kiddo is on formula and wife was reeling from the hospital, we didn’t start trying to get things going until day 7 after birth.

Her breasts were hard and engorged on day 5 and she let them calm down before we gave it our first go. I’m worried now that we waited to long and missed our window.

We got some small drops on day 7 with suckling and hand expressing. Next day, last night, it was barely anything at all. I’m worried we waited too long or didn’t try sucking as frequently as she needed and that her supply is gone now.

Did we ruin our chances?
