Around this time last year I started trying to induce. I ended up stopping a couple months in on account of my emotions crashing everytime I pumped or hand expressed. But I've been really thinking about it lately and I've decided to give the inducing journey another go. This time I'm focusing on not stressing too much and not being so much of a perfectionist regarding sessions. Just not beating myself up if I don't get through a full session of pumping or missing one session. Another thing is that I didn't have a partner last time around so I'm interested how it will go now that I do. I have high hopes!
Now as far as a pumping/hand expression schedule I'm aiming for 8-10 15-20 minute sessions per day. With one of those being a power pump and at least one in the middle of the night. For days when I am at work and can't pump I plan on getting a TENS unit and using that at work. If anyone has recommendations for TENS units I would love to hear them.
Nutrition and supplement wise... I did recently start taking fenugreek to see how my body would respond. I definitely smelled like like Maple while taking it lol. I plan on stopping it for now since my milk is not in yet. For now I do not plan on taking domperidone. Eating enough food in general can be tricky sometimes but in the spirit of not stressing I am just simply trying to include these things in my diet throughout the week. Apricots, dark leafy greens, oats, brewer's yeast, ginger, barley, garlic, nuts and seeds (flax, sesame, pumpkin).
I am currently on a Drospirenone bc pill and have the Mirena IUD.
I'm pumped (pun intended) about restarting this adventure. I'm currently pumping as I'm typing this out and feeling the same positive, calming, nurturing, euphoric, goddess-like feelings as I did the last time around and it just feels right.
