How long do you need to be on Dom to establish a supply and wean yourself off?

I've been taking domperidone for about 5 days now. I started with 10mg 3x a day, then 20 mg 3x a day, and now 30mg 4x a day as I've read that's the optimum dosage. I also read that it takes about 8 days to start lactating and that taking dom for a month will establish a supply and you can tapper off. I don't want to be on the medication for long so I want to get opinions here to see what others think. I do pump the recommended amount daily, once at night and do massages and such. However the medication is expensive and has a lot of side affects so hoping to only be on it for a month or two while maintaining a supply.
