Hello, this is my first trying to post here so I apologize if anything is incorrect.
Sorry for the lengthy post but any help would be super appreciated!
Im getting so many mixed things on how to induce lactation by googling. I am 11 months postpartum and I did attempt to breastfeed my baby when he was born but due to certain things and a full on lack of staying on top of everything, I quickly went from producing about an oz per pump to just droplets and a few sprays here and there when hand expressing. I fully dried up around 4ish months ago. No droplets when hand expressing or anything.
I have been trying to induce lactation and bring my milk back for about a month or so now. I pump for 20 minutes every 2 hours during the day, not at night anymore. I have an evenflo double electric pump. I power pump at least once a week. I take an all in one supplement me and my husband found on Amazon with a mixture of everything possible thatās been said to help. Sunflower lecithin, Goats rue, moringa, fennel. All of it. Iām not on bc but am taking metformin for pre diabetes control.
On and off when I hand expressing after pumping I get a thick white creamy like stuff thatāll basically ooze from my ducts. Or a very faint yellow or clear liquid from a few spots after pumping.
Weāre looking into getting a better āhospital grade pumpā but not sure where to start. Iāve heard good and bad about all the pumps most recommend. We were looking at the medela sonata wall plug pump. And the momcozy v1 wearable pumps as we now have an 11 month old running around. What would you guys recommend to try?
Iām not looking to try any of the meds for lactation. Just herbal supplements and things of that nature, pumping and hand expressing and stimulation from hubby.
Thank you in advance for any advice!
