Hello good folks. Maybe you saw a post yesterday from my partner asking about menstrual irregularities when inducing lactation. He has since deleted it but I want to share my ongoing experience with what is definitely the worst period cycle of my life… while also having the most milk.

I started weening off of dom a little over a month ago because of a delay in shipment. I started at 90mg and am now at 40. While I had some spotting before that here and there, the spotting escalated to daily for the rest of the month. And yesterday is culminated in the single most painful day of my life. I have been bleeding heavily for going on 2 weeks now. Yesterday it was even worse than my worst period. And in the evening, I was writhing and crying in pain.

At the same time, my milk production has been steady at 10-12 oz a day. If anything, it’s still going up. I just had bloodwork done this week, waiting for results. I also have an ultrasound scheduled to check for any irregularities on my parts.

What the hell is wrong with me? Am I the only person who is lactating and is experiencing WORSE periods than before? Cuz it seems like everyone is enjoying lighter or no periods at all.

Anyone have any insight to share what can be happening? Any encouragement? Love? I really don’t want to stop lactating but I really don’t want to be writhing in pain and bleeding through everything.
