Do you tell your doc?
Post Body

Need honest opinions. I’ve been (re)lactating for almost five months now successfully with dom and frequent pumping. I have a good relationship with my doc who’s worked hard along side me to regulate my hormones in peri-meno. But for the last 4 months my hormones have gone downhill from what I’m assuming, is lactation. Estrogen, testosterone and progesterone are all low on top of my thyroid being low(that’s probably an easy fix with thyroid meds). I no longer take t injections once I started relactating bc I didn’t feel it was helping and I wanted to do this journey and wasn’t sure if it would affect that. My doctor would not know what to say if I told him I was lactating. It would be so weird for me to admit that to him and I’m almost fearful he will just say “I can’t help you now”. Has anyone dealt with this? How do I approach this AND try to balance my hormones? Or do they just take the back burner while I’m lactating?
