When I went on vacation a couple weeks ago I lost most of the momentum I had with inducing for the last couple months. Also over the next several months my life is going to get busy, but I don't want to stop inducing. I took a full break from inducing this past week and a bit, and am restarting as of today.
I've got myself set up to use a tens unit so it will be easier to keep to a schedule as our life gets more busy. I will be using it for 20 mins each session, every 2 hours (from 6am to 10pm) through the day and one night session at 2-3am. I will only be taking goats rue and moringa for supplements. I have a water bottle with a straw that helps me to drink more without noticing am drinking a lot.
When I start lactating, I have a Freemie Liberty pump with their slimfit hands free cups, which I will use when am able to pump. I also have a Spectra pump and a manual pump for when I might need it. I am ready with all the different insert sizes for nipple changes that may occur. When I can't pump I am going to try to continue using the tens unit with milk collection cups - the silicone ones that suction to you that don't do anything but collect what comes out. I found one that I can wear in my bra. I know I need to pump, but am hoping, when I experiment with this, it will be a good alternative for when I can't pump.
I found a really good nursing bra from Target that has built in padding which helps hide the tens unit cords and pads, and when wearing both types of collection cups it only looks like I am a little larger chested than I already am - you can't tell am hiding anything underneath at all.
I am looking at the last couple months as not a set back, but as a time I was able to get myself fully set up - a trial period of sorts of finding the flange size & learning how to do that correctly. Now I can solely focus on inducing and producing without worry.
