After 3 months of work: MILK!
Post Body

I started inducing in late April with just suckling, pumping (paruu p10 pump $65 on Amazon), a tens, and so sporadic supplements. I have never been pregnant before and I chose not to do the BC route. I stimulated every 2-4 hours in one way or another (tens at work, pump at morning night, suckling when I saw my partner). Then I left for work travel for 1 month away from my partner. I continued to stimulate with the tens and pumping but every 3-5 hours, no supplements. Then I pretty much took a break from any stimulation for a week or so while on vacation with my partner.

As soon as I got back last week, I started taking dom at 30mg per day (3x 10mg spaced throughout the day). A few days ago I started on 40mg). This past week, more and more fluid was coming out and was changing in consistency from sticky to more fluid, from clear to more milky in color, from salty to sweetish/oat milk sorta flavor. As of today, I can officially say: MILK! I estimate that there’s about 1/4-1/2oz per pump per side. It’s not accumulating more than a few drops in the pump reservoir itself but lots more is just stuck in the pump parts and sort of leaking out (time for a new pump?).

As for the dom: no side effects to speak of at 40mg. I plan to increase to about 80 gradually, I’ll updated if there are any side effects.

As for other effects on body and mood: in the early stages, my nipples got more sore quicker, now they don’t. I had a tough period cycle and felt moody when I was away from partner, not anymore. My libido went down for a bit (again I was away from my partner so that could have been it), but now it’s through the roof! I’m also not going to attribute other normal mood/energy fluctuations to this endeavor unless it’s outside of the norm for me.

Other supplements I take after much research: moringa tincture, shatavari, goats rue tea, beta glucan, oatmeal, guiness (once in a while), magnesium, a tea mixture for breastfeeding I got on my travels.

Ugh…. I just can’t believe it’s happening!! My partner and I are over the moon. Again, I’ve never been pregnant and don’t take BC.

Next steps: researching a new pump. The paruu has served its purpose admirably but it’s time to level up.
