I started inducing 44 days ago. Took me a good month before I found the right size flange. About a week ago I was starting to see some liquid (clear, yellow, green) when hand expressing but I knew I wasn't doing it properly as it was hurting my hands more. I did some research within this sub about marmet/hand expression and found others who said they had better success with hand expression than pumping. So I decided to give it a try. I read all I could get my hands on how to properly hand express for inducing and I started this instead of my pump for all my sessions. That was about 4 days ago.
About 2 days ago I came across a video shared in the exclusive pumping group here that made sense of hand expression. She goes into detail on how she does it and why. She also mentioned how to get a let down, which caught my eye as it's the stimulation needed to get the milk flowing. What really caught my attention was how a certain area just below the nipple base needs to be massaged where you can feel the little milk sacks (my term). I had not come across this information. I immediately changed up how I was expressing/massaging by mimicked how she did it.
Here's the link to that video for those interested... https://youtu.be/AyvStWZFZIA?si=hEs2nsNV5WtN5v5c
That was yesterday. Today during my first session of the afternoon I noticed a little bit of clear liquid on my left nipple! First signs of success! Since starting hand expressing the tips of my nipples have been getting the stabbies and feeling like they're just going to burst into sprays lol and my breasts have increased in size, feeling much more fuller, especially my left one. My right breast tends to be late to the game but then starts to outdo the left. lol
My info ... 50f, induced several times over last decade with small success on dom once before had to quit due to life stresses, pregnant 20 years ago though didn't get to breastfeed longer than a week, last induced 2 years ago. Currently taking goats rue, moringa, shatavari, and sunflower lecithin. Am not taking dom. Schedule is every 2 hours for 20 mins, or 10-15 mins if am not home, from 7am to 11pm and I do one 3am session so I can be sure I get enough sleep. I drink between 96oz to 110oz per day, depending on temperature and activities.
