Hello folks. I have a question for the suckling partners of lactating folks. How’s your sleep doing? Notice any difference? There are several studies that show breast milk composition is different during different times of the day (nighttime has more melatonin, daytime has more cortisol). Induced milk and post pregnancy milk are identical in composition so I imagine the timing still holds true.
Have you personally noticed a difference since starting to drink breastmilk? Any anecdotes/personal experiences?
Just one of many articles on the topic on the circadian rhythm of milk. OF COURSE it’s all about babies. I imagine there is a difference between baby and adult brains but I’m certain there won’t be any studies on that anytime soon so this is what we have.
