Newman Goldfarb protocol

Didn’t have luck with lactating on just Dom. Started the Newman Goldfarb protocol with Yaz birth control and Dom. I read that you’re not supposed to pump while taking the birth control. Can’t find the reasoning on why you’re supposed to wait to pump. Has anyone continued to pump during the protocol and still had success?
