Hello, I am a tradesman in Australia, I recently found 3 months ago that I have ADHD, and since I finished my apprenticeship, I have found that the increased responsibility and stress and pressure of having to work fast, efficiently, and correctly has made it more obvious, to myself that is, I have noticed that it is far easier for me to make mistakes with the most simplest of tasks, for example, I am a boilermaker and welder, so if I need to weld a plate on, there is a higher probability that I will put the plate on the wrong side of the marked line, and I can check the fabrication drawings I have been given 3 times, and each time it will look as though I have placed it in the correct spot, because in my brain it is as if the line has moved, and it is not until further down the line of the job, will it actually be found to be wrong, but it there is something that is complicated, for example if I need to make an egg shape out of plate steel and make sure it is offset a certain way with other pieces coming off it, I can make that perfectly.
So I am curious if there is anyone else on here that experiences similar things with there jobs, whether it be an office job or another job, but have created a process for themselves that allows to keep on top of those simple items and make sure they aren't done wrong?
