Struggles with building, and maintaining motivation for a 24 year old Male

So I am sure this has been asked and addressed many times throughout this sub reddit, but I need to ask for myself

What do you people do to help build, and/or maintain motivation?

I struggle so much with my motivation, even for things that I love and desperately want to do, I have goals and plans that I want to put in place and achieve in my life, but I feel like it doesn't matter what I do I can't seem to get any kind of motivation or forward movement going, I get these ideas of things I want to do, and I think them out of what I want to do, how I want to do it, what the end result is going to be, and where I want to go with it, a perfect result is starting my own business, but I feel like anytime I try to apply myself, no matter how much I want to, its like I'm standing behind myself forcing my head down to focus on what I'm doing and get on with it, and then there's other times where I just sit in the space of where I would normally do things, but its like the thought of starting and doing something is painful

I've tried many different techniques and strategies, but I can't seem to get anything to stick, the only thing that really has any ability of working is body doubling, but I don't have anyone that I can really rely on to be able to use that technique for things I want to do

It is frustrating and irritating and at times quite upsetting, I just don't know what to do anymore, there are times I get so frustrated and upset with myself I cannot help but cry in frustration

Please tell me there are many others here with such problems to the same degree that can share some guidance

Edit: I forgot to mention that I am diagnosed ADHD and take medication
