My sister and her partner have started to look into adopting due to infertility after a number of failed IVF attempts (it’s been a really tough journey for them). They are aware of how different adopting is to having your own child but they feel they have a lot of love to give and I think they would make great parents.
Long story short I offered to help them get started but I feel like I’ve already fallen at the first hurdle as I’ve been overwhelmed with information. There seem to be lots of different adoption agencies. Are they meant to apply individually to different ones in order to up their chances of finding a child? Or do they go through their local London borough? Sorry if these are obviously questions, just very much trying to figure out the groundwork before plunging further into this.
Thanks a lot in advance.
