My (19F) son was adopted in June and his AP's agreed to a meeting on my birthday coming up. We're in a super open agreement and get along famously, however anxiety still looms as there is little to no literature for me to read in anticipation of the meeting. I'm quite nervous, more so due to reddit comments and my parent projecting their own anxiety onto me, even though I have a spectacular relationship with his parents and we're quite close. I have no idea what to expect and what is and isn't crossing boundaries. They invited me to be in their family photos and come to their home, which says a lot about the relationship I have with his mom. They're really not the type I'd have to walk on eggshells around, but anxiety remains. I want them to feel as happy and comfortable with me in their space as possible. Any advice? (and please ONLY positive advice:) )
