Question From a New Audio Person
Post Body

Hey guys, I have this weird clicking sound going on in my recordings that I know isn't coming from my environment, or anyone else's. The clicks don't register on the waveforms on Audition, and I'm wondering how exactly I might be able to stop it from recording it that way.

I'm using a Focusrite 8i8 with ASIO and a large condenser mic that isn't being hit or anything during recording. The clicking seems to happen regardless of the volume of what's going on in the recording in the moment, and usually only happens at the beginning or ending of when someone speaks.

I'm pretty new to this stuff, it might be really obvious, but I hope you guys might know what's going on. The problem is much worse on other clips. (The worst part in this clip is a little bit before halfway through the 1 minute-long video).
