spotted on Follensby - it’s been there for at least 3 years now, we think it may be a muskrat lodge but we’re not sure! we don’t think it’s beavers since the area isn’t very conducive to damming & we haven’t seen any signs of beavers felling trees.
there seems to be a hole on the right side that goes into the structure (not super visible in the picture)

yes I think so! maybe abandoned? we’ve seen it for 3 years and haven’t spotted any trees that look like they were cut down by beavers - maybe we’re just missing them though! I would love to have beavers this close by

do beavers really live in bodies of water as large as Follensby? I thought that they lived in areas that they could dam, but I’m probably wrong and would love to learn more!
