I (26f) am dealing with some pretty serious burnout and really failing at adulthood lately. I live in the north but am desperate for an effective adhd COACH who is taking on new clients, and possibly see me asap. Before you suggest … I have a very good psychologist who I see every 2-3 weeks. I have a good GP who said she had referred children to a Ot (I don’t think they accepted adults or anyone who does not have a NDIS plan. I also have an average psychiatrist who is expensive.
I have been dealing with failure in my whole semester at uni. I now have to repeat all my subjects again. This has led to a massive amount of shame, stress and huge amount of guilt. I have dropped out of my first degree when I was diagnosed in 2020 due to a number of factors but I have failed in a different degree and the failure is really effecting my career and day to day life, my uni friends don’t know nor do my parents or housemates. (Embarrassed and annoyed at my self)
I specifically sort help prior to the year in regards to an academic equal(special requirements) plan. Basically they just allowed me to have extra exam time and extra resubmit on assignments and tasks.
I am really super in need for a ADHD wizard who can help me with basics in day to day as well as the skills for how to avoid again. I want to be clear I do not want to see a psychiatrist or counsellor or an incompetent school support worker or a tutor. For the last 4 years or maybe since primary school I have had my fair share of neuro ‘Normal’ helpers. None have understood adhd fully. So can I please have some advice and help with finding a coach or someone to take the wheel of my chaotic life asap.
Can dm me or reply. Maybe even vent to other ADHDers in Melbourne (inner north suburbs)
